I am excited to have my painting "Two Boats, Fishing Bay Marina, VA " included in an article in the Pastel Journal, July/August issue. This publication has long been the premier resource for artists and art lovers alike. The issue will be on newsstands in July 2017.
I will be presenting a series of five classes in June 2017 on Painting in Pastel at For Art's Sake Gallery in Richmond, VA. Topics that we will be working on are painting the still life, landscape and animals. Check out the gallery's website at www.forartssakegallery.com

I began my study of the portrait at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art Studio School. I have been invited, along with other alumnus to participate in a show of portraiture in many mediums and styles. The show will be on display April 21- May 26, 2017.
April 22nd a new exciting painting exhibit, “Plein Air Unleashed” opens featuring the works of some of the regions finest plein air painters. As part of this exhibit, the opening day – April 22nd – will feature several of the plein air painters doing demonstrations and working on new pieces on the grounds and around the town of White Stone, VA. The exhibit will be on display April 22nd – May 21st 2017 in the main gallery at Allure Art Center.
It was a fun weekend collaborating with artists to support the mission of the Richmond-based non-profit World Pediatric Project.
The World Pediatric Project links pediatric surgical, diagnostic and preventative resources to heal critically ill children in developing countries in the Caribbean and Central America. This non-profit group is also well-known for arranging the 2011 surgical separation of the conjoined twins from the Dominican Republic here at MCV. I was happy to have been able to participate and donate a portion of sales to this worthy cause.
